Women of Color Conference

I was invited by the Boys and Girls Club to attend this Women of Color conference. This conference is all about successful business women. Not only were there keynote speakers, they had workshops, networking sessions, breaks, food! :9 and all sorts of other things. The stories that were told by the keynote speakers were so inspirational, true, and touching. One lady that stood out to me the most was a woman by the name of Renee West who is a 57 year old who has three children and is happily married. She is also the President and COO of both Luxor and Excalibur. But do not let that fool you; she explained the difficulties she had to overcome. I knew for certain that God was with these women, holding their hands, comforting them, and enabling them to be where they are today.
Another keynote speaker I wish to share with you goes by the name of Brenda Cooper who is a fashion stylist and image expert. Brenda was the wardrobe designer for The Nanny and works very closely with Fran Drescher. Her presentation was amazing. She has her own studio in Los Angeles, CA and helps men and women choose the right shade of colors for their personal wardrobes.
